Four Gold Medals! - 06/14/2015

Andrew M., Kathryn M., Helen E., and Seema G. each were awarded a gold medal for their lovely performances in the All-Star Festival at the Texas Music Teachers Association Convention held at the Hyatt Regency in Houston. The festival featured Texas students who had earned a "superior" rating in an adjudicated event during the 2014-2015 school year. Kathryn and Andrew gave musical performances of Burgmuller studies, Helen beautifully played a Beethoven sonatina movement, and Seema graced the audience with a Chopin waltz. Congrats, all stars!

Kaitlyn M.'s Senior Recital - 06/02/2015

Theory-Only Lessons Now Available - 06/01/2015

For the first time, I am now teaching "theory-only" lessons for students who want a better understanding of music. Theory lessons are good for music students who may be studying voice or other instruments, but also want or need instruction in music theory. Beginner through advanced students are accepted. Please pass the word!

Spring Recital - 05/29/2015

On Friday evening, May 29, the students performed in the annual Spring Recital. It was a time of enjoying beautiful music and celebrating a year of musical growth and accomplishments! Congratulations to each student on a job well done. Bravo!

KMTA Spring Festival Honors Recital - 04/11/2015

Several Marshall Piano Studio students participated in the KMTA Spring Festival. This is an adjudicated event in which over 200 students throughout Katy are critiqued on their performance of two piano pieces. Congratulations to all my students for scoring "excellent" or higher! Special congratulations to John-Phillip M. and Seema G. for scoring "superior plus" and for performing in the evening "Honors Recital" by invitation!
